GENERAL: does EUROTHANE insulation absorb water?

All Eurothane products have ATG/H product certification and usually also ATG system approval. The product characteristics are inspected continuously within the framework of these approvals. PUR insulation has over 90% closed cells which allows a very limited water absorption. The water absorption measured after complete immersion of the foam for 24 hours is limited to 2 to 3%. The presence of an aluminium or bituminous facing on the Eurothane insulation boards offers an additional protection against damp.
